Terms of Service

Effective: August 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of any product or service offered by College Crash Course. By purchasing or using anything we sell, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't buy.

1. Who we are

College Crash Course is operated by Grayson Feury, Matthew Sopko, and Mark Daugherty ("we," "us," "the authors"), based in New Castle, Pennsylvania, United States. We are not currently registered as an LLC or other formal business entity. References in these Terms to "the company" or "our business" refer to the three of us doing business together informally.

2. What you get when you buy

We currently offer two products:

We may change, expand, or discontinue any product at our discretion. Once you have paid for a product, the version you receive is the one we deliver at the time of purchase.

2A. Age, and buying for a student

You must be 18 or older to purchase. Most of the students who use College Crash Course are in high school, and that is exactly who we built it for — but the purchase itself has to be made by an adult. If you are under 18, ask a parent or legal guardian to buy it for you. By purchasing, that adult agrees to these Terms both on their own behalf and on behalf of the student who will use the product.

The $199 essay review. This tier includes a 60-minute one-on-one video call. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must book the session, and a parent is welcome to attend the call — just tell us when you book, or simply join. We do not record these sessions, and we ask that you do not record them either. All scheduling and follow-up goes to the email address used at purchase, so a parent stays in the loop by default.

Email sign-ups. Please do not enter an email address on our site if you are under 13. If you are under 18, ask a parent before signing up for our emails. If you believe a child under 13 has given us an email address, contact us and we will delete it.

3. Refund policy

All sales are final. No refunds.

Because everything we sell is a digital product or scheduled consultation, refunds are not offered for any reason once payment has been processed. This applies to both the $49 tier and the $199 tier. The Premium tier consultation cannot be refunded if you cancel, no-show, or are unable to make the scheduled time. You may request one reschedule of the Premium consultation by emailing us at least 24 hours in advance, but reschedules are at our discretion.

The only exception is a technical failure on our side that prevents you from receiving what you paid for (for example, an access code that does not work and that we are unable to fix). In that case, email us and we will either fix the problem or refund the affected purchase.

4. License to use the Guide

When you buy the Guide, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may:

You may not:

If you violate this license, we may revoke your access without refund and pursue any remedies available under copyright law.

5. SAT practice tool

The SAT practice tool draws from a bank of original practice questions written by College Crash Course. The questions are designed to mirror the style, format, and difficulty of real SAT questions, but they are not actual SAT questions, and College Crash Course is not affiliated with or endorsed by the College Board. SAT is a registered trademark of the College Board, which was not involved in the production of this product. Despite careful review, individual questions, answers, or explanations may contain errors, and we make no guarantee that any specific item is accurate. The tool is provided as a supplement to, not a replacement for, official SAT preparation materials, and we make no guarantee of score improvement.

You may not scrape, bulk-download, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the practice tool or its question bank, or use either for any purpose other than personal SAT preparation.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. No professional advice

The Guide reflects the personal experiences and opinions of the authors. It is educational material, not professional admissions counseling, legal advice, financial advice, or tax advice. Outcomes will vary. Decisions about where to apply, what to write about, how to prepare, and how to finance your education are yours alone. Consult appropriate professionals when the stakes warrant it. We are not responsible for any admissions decision, financial decision, or other outcome you experience.

8. Disclaimers

The Guide, the SAT practice tool, the website, and any related services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of our products or services. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or our products will not exceed the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the authors harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Guide or the practice tool, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

11. Privacy

Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Accessibility

We are committed to making our website, guide, and SAT practice tool accessible to people with disabilities, and we design and test them to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard commonly used to evaluate compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Details of what we've done, known limitations, and how to request help or report a barrier are described in our Accessibility Statement, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. For purchases already completed, the Terms that were in effect at the time of your purchase will govern that purchase.

14. Termination

We may suspend or revoke your access to the Guide, the practice tool, or any other service at any time if you violate these Terms. Termination does not entitle you to any refund.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

If a dispute arises, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve it informally by email. Either party may initiate informal resolution by sending a written description of the dispute to connect.collegecrashcourse@gmail.com. The parties will make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute within 30 days of that notice.

If informal resolution fails, any remaining dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, and the parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the products and services described above. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not waive that right or provision. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
